The attachment shows for each subject the rough percentage of the candidature who score a mark which equates to an ATAR of 99 or more.
Only subjects which typically attract more than 2000 candidates are shown.

We all know the product rule f ' = u'v + uv'
When you keep differentiating you get

So you get something akin to the binomial expansion.
(And the undifferentiated f = uv...
