Hey guys,
So the UMAT and my trials are coming up, and both begin in the same week. I'm aiming for UNSW and UWS medicine atm, and if that doesn't work out then going a bit further, e.g. UNCLE would be fine too.
Currently go to a top 30 ranked high school and getting ATAR estimates around...

Hey guys, I'm having trouble with this question:
"Use Simpson's Rule and 4 sub-intervals to approximate the area bounded by the curve y = e-x2 , the x-axis, and the lines x = -2 and x = 2."
It seems using the formula A = (b-a)/6 {f(a) + f(b) + 4[f(a+b)/2]...} from Cambridge gives me...
"When (3+2x)^n (n is a positive integer) is written out as a polynomial in x, the coefficients of x^5 and x^6 have the same value."
i. Find the value of n.
ii. Show that t(k+1)/t(k) = 2(15-k)/3k
iii. Hence or otherwise, show that the coefficients of x^5 and x^6 are the largest coefficients...
Hey guys help me work this one out :/
"The equation of the normal to the curve [y = x^3 - 4x] at the point (1,-3) is:"
A) y = x + 4
B) y = x - 4
C) y = -x + 2
D) y = -x - 2
include working please (:
Having trouble with this question. I have the answers but they're not the same as mine :/
"If the continuous function h(x) is defined by h(x) =
1. 4x-6 ; x <= -1
2. ax^2 + bx ; -1 < x< 2
3. x^3 ; x >= 2
Find a and b."
I've got a speech on change for preliminary adv. english coming up, and the time limit's 3 and a half minutes.
I have an intro + 2 body paragraph points + conclusion atm, which adds up to 650 words.
I already cut down the word count from 800 to 650, do you guys think there's enough time...
Question: AB is a vertical tower 30 metres high, C and D are points at the same level as its foot A. The point C is due south of the tower and D is due east of C. If the angles of elevation from C and D to the top of the tower are 16° and 11° respectively, find the bearing of D from the tower...
