stock the merom is slower due to the MUCH lower fsb, however once the fsb is made 1:1 with the ram (800mhz ram) it did indeed beat the 6800. negative effect on the battery life though.

yeah,i pull a good 2.3-2.4mb/sec on my cable connection. and yes, i must say, private trackers ftw :) although only 60gb bandwidth doesnt do the connection justice :(

My laptop is running a merom T7600 which i find to outperform the desktop E6800, it really shows that the architecture creates a massive difference in performance, regardless of clockspeed.

eh, i like vista. i'd prefer to be using arch or gentoo personally, but UWS doesnt support it over their wireless due to authentication software issues. besides, its all personal opinion anyway. no use complaining becuase a company made something, they arnt forcing you to buy it. do...
