Are you allowed to take notes during the viewings? Assuming you are, on the first viewing write as much as possible (ideas and techniques), on the second viewing slow it down so you can think a bit more.
Things to look for: Instances of belonging/not belonging and reasons for this eg) people...

I liked it, it kept my attention the whole way thorugh, you write well, and deals with belonging.
It seems fairly easy to adapt to a criteria, so i guess thats good.
Personally im hoping for creative they give us a speech. Anyway good luck!
Why not just make one up if you really need to? A newspaper article or something. might be difficult to come up with quotes for but i suppose its a last resort. they will ask for two related texts.
Don't do it in the intro, it will become fair lengthy and clunky, since you will be using at least 4 texts (2 poems and 2 ORT's). I say just do it with each paragraph. That is of course if your paragraphs deal with your texts separately.
I did the Independant for my trial. I thought it strayed from the syllabus a bit but i still managed 91.
As for the CSSA it stuck to the syllabus pretty tight, so I guess were more hsc-style questions.
