what proof is there that god exists?

this post has little to add to the discussion yet: I wonder if any of you have ever been fully satisfied with the results of your reasoning? I ask this to myself because in my case, I was just led further and further into frustration (not by this thread but by reasoning). Nothing made sense, for...

what proof is there that god exists?

That reasoning is flawed and illogical, sorry. You are gonig to have to look at the very nature of the thing. Please read the post slowly: First of all define the question: Who/What is God/god if He(he)(she) exists? God by definition I think we will leave as this common ground: THE all...

I know, "another one," but I really have no idea what my ATAR would be

Last few years my schools been ranked in the top 25, but we have small classes so every year would be different I suppose. Biology 2/15 (very close to 1) Chem 4/9 Modern History 2/14 (very close to 1) Adv. English, something like 8/22, I totally stuffed one assessment  Maths 2/10 of...

An Opinion on whether picking up Ext. History would be too much

In light of your subjects it wont be too much, I've seen much worse combinations of subjects, and that is with people with no time and a lot of responsibilities. And they've gone well... no your problem is this: it doesn't matter what subjects you do Ext. History is a painful experience, and I...

    Super Smart Students

I have a friend who got 99.85 in his HSC, he played rygby all through year 12. Played a musical instrument in his spare time (he didn't do music) had an active social life- though he would not go get drunk for example etc.

    Accused of cheating during trials

Try crying and getting your parents to rant and storm at the school. It'd help if you have a teacher or someone at the school who knows you really well and would vouch for you. If you have a good rep. I think you'd have a good chance of getting out of it.

What, in your view, is a historian?

A person who uses past events to tell a story. An artist whose medium is past events, found out with scientific method. An artist who uses their intellect and history (with a small h) to express themselves, as a musician uses music, a poet language, an historian uses past events and people to...

My life is plumetting and I'm letting it.

Mate I must say I disagree with a few of the posts here. I suggest you get to bed at a certain time, get eight hours every night. I'm not saying sleep will solve all your problems but it sure helps! And no, will-power is not the answer. There is no way you can will power your way out of...

Catholic Church and HIV/AIDS in Africa.

Some interesting facts: President Museveni of Uganda "We are being told that only a thin piece of rubber stands between us and the death of our Continent ... they (condoms) cannot become the main means of stemming the tide of AIDS." Please see Ugandan Abstinence AIDS Prevention Program...

Depression and the HSC - how do you cope?

Don't do the HSC for your parents, that is the best way to end up depressed about it. Have some goal that can't get disappointed with your marks. Some reason behind. Whatever it is for you. I would give an example but that's personal.

    Who's a POSTMODERNIST? Hand up!!

Don't you get it? We are all post modernists! brainwashed into it from an early age of education at school. It's all around you, I try not to be a postmodernist, (I make up for it by being a conspiracy theorist:)) but we are all strongly influenced by postmodernism. It's all around you. If you...
