Yeh good point, thats what i think aswell. what im really after in this thread are reasons to persuade my parents, who really want me to do this course, that it's not suitable. they say the money isnt an issue and if i mention 'time' they flip and go on about 'its just one month for your...

Are bridging courses a good idea for people who don't need it as assumed knowledge? Just in case i choose to change degree to one that does require assumed knowledge. e.g.enrolling in physics while i'm doing a medical science degree (assumed knowledge- maths and chem) Is it really beneficial?
