I realize there are threads about ACCG250 but those were in 2009 and I wonder if anything changed? Can anyone with experience tell me how it was? I also remember hearing that Matthew Mansour will take part / lecture in this unit as well, am I correct? Who's the LIC? Thanks in advance.

The actual lecture slides were posted after the lecture even though there were some pdfs in the Week 1 section.. pretty confusing on what needs to be read/printed.

Easier than the 200 level busl prereq unit because that lecturer was lame and turned our assessments into chaos. I ended up having a higher grade in 350 than the 200 level unit (I forgot the code).

what is credit for previous studies?

I went on estudent 5 minutes ago to see if I can enroll... confirmed it from the mq site that "Enrol in units and register in classes reopens 8 February." ... but nope still can't enrol.

I'm heading into my third and final year of bachelor of applied finance and I need some advice regarding the transfer to the new curriculum. I've read the FAQs, handbooks, etc but I need some advice. I know there's no major or minor for this degree so there's really no point right?

For sem 1, I'm doing FIN310, ACCG329, STAT379 (any comments on these 3?), but I can't decide what elective to do as my 4th unit... any suggestions?

Looks like econ335 and 360 are my choices now. Initially, econ350 and 360 appealed to me more. But I heard about some media assignment that seems stupid so I'm having second thoughts about 350 now.

If you're talking about usefulness, 353 would seem more useful. Plus it's the next stage of 253 and 253 talks about portfolios as well anyways.

Just checked - all the BBA units related to economics/commerce are 300 level. I wonder if they are hard... And those STAT electives look really simple lol. It's like picking CHN units as electives if you're a Chinese student. I guess that's an viable option afterall.

Aside from STAT279, BUSL250, what are some electives that most people tend to enroll in? Maybe continue down the ISYS/COMP path? Or any recommended from BBA? Or stick with the ACCG and ECON units? Thanks in advance for all your inputs.

Yeah, I think it's wise to do econ200 for now, gives me more options in sem 2 and 3rd year. Is it really that hard? Because I'll stay away accg200 and accg201 if I can.. I heard from a friend that accg352 and harder than 353, and it seems to me 353 is more useful practically. I just hope...
