    a question on polynomial...

    You guys all missed the fact that it's actually a Symmetrical Polynomial. Therefore the roots will be reciprocals of each other. Which only leaves two pairs of reciprocal roots, therefore the maximum multiple root is only two.

    For the first part, A hyperbola is called a hyperbola if its asymtotes meet at right angles. Also its eccentricity is root(2). For the second part, I would assume you need to draw the diagram and use the rules of concyclic polygons.
