    Struggling with advanced English

Module A is always a struggle. I think the most important thing is to go back and read the rubric for Module A. Make sure you include contextual information throughout your paragraphs and that your comparisons are consistent too. Never go on about one text for too long, was what I learnt from my...

Should i drop law? Feel so under pressure and sick all the time because of it.

I'm only a 2nd year law student at UNSW but I can honestly say that it gets better. In Semester 1 of my first year, I was thrown into the deep end. My course structure required me to do LAWS1052 and LAWS1141. I had to do two law subjects and had no idea what was going on. I didn't understand how...

    Music 1

Not saying I aced it or anything but must agree that the extracts this year were a complete joy to listen to and analyse! Even the crazy drumming one which caught me off guard a bit--the question suited the extract provided :) Also, when I saw the box for no. of manuscript booklets used or...

    Words in 40 minutes?

For a memorised essay, 40 minutes usually means 1300. For an on-the-spot essay, 40 minutes would allow me to write about 900! Quality over quantity though. As long as what you write is enough to get your point across with clarity, don't stress too much but I'm sure you know that already :shy:

    Is anyone burning out?

The massive assessment block that I'm currently in is quite draining but the good thing is there's still time before trials! I'm hopeful that I'll get the marks I want. Two of my subjects from half yearlies were a massive let down...time to pick it up! :-) Study hard, y'all! :read:

How far ahead is everyone exactly?

I haven't started either! :O We've been told, and I'm sure everybody knows this, that it's a long process that will take up the whole year. Continuous refining and revising of the major work will be required which is a very tedious and time-consuming process.

ATAR Aim & desired uni course

Bachelor of Law/Arts at UNSW I would love to do music for the arts component! The ATAR cut off of 99.65 is ridiculous though :( I also have my sights on Education and becoming an English teacher.

Your first day of Year 12

Would that be a bit too extensive? If you have time then sure, but the content you learn may need a few lessons to be fully explained, etc. I do my notes every week :)

Your first day of Year 12

Quite good! Dived straight into Chemistry syllabus. However, our school decided to start with Acidic Environment instead of Production of Materials. Received English marks back and maintained my rank :) Currently annotating and researching Module B texts for English before I go to bed! I'm not...
