    Section II - Short Answer

There are heaps of correct answers. For an advantage I wrote that it erodes the debt for individuals as it is worth less in real terms. For a disadvantage I wrote that inflation causes lower International Competitiveness and just outlined some effects of this

    General Thoughts: Legal Studies

me too, the multi's were fucked, some were way too ambiguous Crime wasnt too bad, took a while though, i focused on factors that cause criminal behaviour for that last question as a reason for low commitment, what do you you think? Shelter not bad, but too broad, had way to much to write...

    richard III

Nah, out of all of them i hated the Richard Q the most. From all the past papers and trials i had seen they never specified a couple of themes present in both texts. usually they just wanted a comparison of the different contexts/values/purposes. that really threw me

    Sources of Law.

The two sources of domestic law are statute law and common law I think sources of international law include treaties, agreements, customary law, etc. Not 100% sure on the last one though, check it just to be sure

No Creative Title - Minus Marks?

Absolutely, its rare (because a lot of the time the title is just a summation of the story), but it can definitely be a positive influence on the story

No Creative Title - Minus Marks?

I am 100% certain that a title will make no difference to the final mark. The majority (i reckon vast majority) of the state will not have bothered with a title. The markers are not going to say "oh yes this story is excellent, but it doesnt have a title, so i cant give it full marks." A three...

No Creative Title - Minus Marks?

I agree, if you have a title it cant hurt, but if you didnt write one then there is no need to worry, the story will still get the same mark

No Creative Title - Minus Marks?

yeh mate i kno what you mean, and in that case i reckon no amount of titles or pretty colouring will save us

No Creative Title - Minus Marks?

yeh, well then i guess we all gotta hope to God that we dont get one of those markers

No Creative Title - Minus Marks?

love the gus gould reference, i agree, its rediculous to think that they might penalise people without titles. the marker, after marking hundreds of creative pieces, will not be shocked or annoyed when he/she opens the booklet and finds no title. it will be marked on the merits of the story itself.

    General Thoughts: English Extension 1

What do you reckon the cut offs would be?

    Legal Studies HSC Exam

Despite the current trend this year, i would be massively surprised if they did not ask an effectiveness question for the last two essays, however they could try to mix it up a little in the crime section.

    band cut offs

Re: Band 6 Raw? i herd that a 72/120 in 2003 was scaled to 82 and this paper was at least in the same range as that that one. you can say that it wasnt that difficult, and that it was just the different setting of the paper that through people, but the fact is that general marks will be lower...
