    Co-op scholarhip

from what i understand, if you received a conditional offer you were one of the top X (however many scholarships were available for that program) and if you were shortlisted you were one of a few people below those conditional offers and could be used if the conditional offers are declined or...

    Co-op scholarhip

i got one for computer science and one for software engineering. congrats to everyone else! i wonder how many interviews are offered per course? they said they take anywhere from 20-30 minutes per interview.. guessing about two 1 hr breaks for the panel... lets say they start at 9 and end at 5...

    Multiple Choice

im a little confused about the question with the pendulum and that split-ring thing. Does EMF get induced into ring that isn't closed? I thought it did, but I've heard that it doesn't, hence the answer was the constant zero emf graph?

How do you do the last question?

fingers crossed i didnt stuff up latex... this is how i did it, hopign its all right you basically just set up 2 equations, one hwere x = 1, the other x = -1, add the two together and the nc1, nc3,...nCn-1's all cancel \textup{We know that}\\ nC1 + nC2.2^{2} + ... + nCn^{2} = n(n+1).2^{n-2}...

Re: Wow, fuck that solving the quadratic, i took it as a decimal and got 0.358 or something ? sound familiar? :\ 2 values, 1 was outside the domain of p though, ^ was the other and it was inthe domain edit someone beat me!

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 1

Re: Wow, fuck that the period was pi/2n they wanted distance travelled in 2pi / n seconds or something, but 2pi/n = 4 periods, therefore, it would have travelled 4 x the amplitude, amplide was 2, therefore distance travelled was 8

How do you do the last question?

set up two equations from part ii) one let x = 1, the other let x = -1 add, they cancel you get 2 ( the middle part) = some shit divide both sides by 2. if i recall correctly sorry about the brievity lol i dont understand latex and i dont have the paper with me

    argand diagram question

Thanks for stating the obvious. I asked for a solution, not a snide remark. Muzeikchun852, I had the same results you posted so i will assume its correct. Thanks.

    argand diagram question

hi, i have a solution but im not sure if it's correct. could somebody do it and show me what they get? thanks shade region where both | z-(1+i) | <= sqrt(2) and where 0 <= argz <= pi/2 hold simultaneously ii) find the exact perimeter and area of the shaded region

    CSSA Physics

i got ~1 amp (1.008 or something..), since there were two sides of the coil experiencing equal force which contributed to balance the weight force. so the sum of the force of both wires needed to equal weight force on point P. i think that's what you needed to do anyway..not 100% sure

    complex question

    z^4 = 1.....easy to solve......got that done hence solve: z^4 = (z-1)^4 please advise thanks nb: i attempted to solve it this way; z^4 = 1...so (z - 1)^4 = 1 therefore (z - 1)^2 = +-1 therefore..z - 1 = +-1, +- i z = 0, 2, 1 + i, 1 - i

    How would you sketch this?

you can break up arg(z-2/z+2) into arg(z-2) - arg(z+2), so sketch two vectors that intercept to make a right angle, (their args subtract to give pi/2), and you know from circle geometry that an angle at the circumference of a circle when subtended by the diameter of the circle will be a right...
