Are you going to check your HSC marks or ignore them and wait for your atar?

I think that's true, though assessment marks determine the "gap" between your HSC marks.

How difficult/generous can the HSC markers be?

They are set out to award marks not take away marks. I heard somewhere they can also change the marking criteria if they find people are losing too many marks and thus remark and award more marks (don't know if this is what really happens). Btw nice sig Official, wonder if the guy is still...

How difficult/generous can the HSC markers be?

+1. In the marking guidelines, they don't require the statement, but the markers would always prefer a short brief statement e.g. "Therefore proven true by the principle of mathematical induction (or M.I.)"

    Alignment Process

Wasn't last year's cut off around 74/120? I don't know, don't think you can squeeze in but high E3? Depends, but judging from everyone's posts, the paper seemed to be easy... so the cut off might even increase.

    How'd everyone go?

There are many formulae for power, just use the formulae sheet provided.

    How'd everyone go?

you don't use any angle. P = Work/time, Work = PE + KE but KE = 0 as we assume the guy with his trolley are stationary and using the escalator. Therefore Work = PE = mgh where m = 115, g = 10, h = 9 and t = 25. Sub all into calculator and you get it 414W.

    How'd everyone go?

Yep! +1. And yes i got 414W for the belt thing. I found the paper much more difficult compared with other years. The "draw the laminated macrostructure" or whatever the question was like ....

    Multiple Choice Answers

i am fairly sure 2 was A as salt water contains ions which are free charge carriers which accelerate the rate of corrosion. Cold-rolled brass would not corrode from just the "stress factor" if it were in air therefore by placing it in a solution of electrolytes will accelerate the rate of...
