    Cheap Tutoring in Penrith Area

Hi all, Starting February I will be tutoring students at Penrith Library for Business Studies. I scored a mark of 93 in my HSC and attended Penrith High School, which meant my internals were marked VERY hard. If you can get to Penrith Library and are interested PM me for my phone number...

Will my ATAR be completely different?

If you are using the Matrix or Dux ATAR calculator, then you're doing the right thing. There's a column called HSC marks, so just type your aligned marks from yesterday, and it will use last year's scaling algorithms to estimate your ATAR. It is extremely unlikely that the ATAR calculator will...

    Multiple Choice

Remand is where you keep someone in jail before they have even been found guilty in a court, ie you are NOT assuming they are innocent.

    Multiple Choice

The STATE is the prosecution, ie one of the two parties in the criminal case, so the state's case is correct.

Might wanna look up the definition of ratified. Ratifying is enacting an international instrument into domestic law, so given the question, the MOST CORRECT answer is D.

    Raw marks for band 6?

I reckon 83-ish. 86+ is ridiculous, I mean I know it was a fairly easy test, but it wasn't that easy. And yeah, given that past years have been pretty much on or around 80, maybe a couple higher this year because of new syllabus and easy exam, so 83 or at most 84 would be a 90-91 I think.

    Section I - Multiple Choice

With the exception of Q8, which even the BOS probably don't know the answer to, everything else is correct.

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Variable expenses are not COGS. COGS relate directly to stock and the product being sold. For example, at McDonald's, beef patties would be COGS. Variable expenses fall in the same category as fixed ones (ie not in COGS), only they increase as the level of production increases. For example, an...

    Would this justify?

Nah, business is all about the syllabus, and you haven't used the right syllabus terms in either section. You'll get 1 mark for identifying separation, but not for recruitment. Acquisition is what they are looking for. As for the strategies, performance appraisals are part of performance...

What does everyone think there raw mark is

First of all, it's their, not there. Better hope your markers aren't too strict on grammar :P As for my mark, I reckon 19 for MC, 34/35 for short answer and 34 for extended responses, which totals 87/88.

This. Thank you shannan94, for putting it into words alot better than I can.

    Section I - Multiple Choice

This was the only MC question that I think I may have gotten wrong. I mean, it was obviously not sale and leaseback, but for me the other three options all focused on improving NET profit, rather than gross profit. Like expense minimisation obviously has little impact on gross profit, so I...

What would this raw mark be aligned to in this exam??

A mark of 75 should see you aligned well into the 80s. Hell, if you did a bit better than you think and scored a raw mark in the low 80s, you might even be a B6.

What would this raw mark be aligned to in this exam??

Where are you getting this info from? I'm not disagreeing with you, I'd just really like to see a table or something showing what different marks in different subjects align to in previous years.

    Section I - Multiple Choice

With all due respect, you're wrong. We can all agree that the answer is definitely not A (industrial), since that's a type of market, not a type of marketing approach. Now the production approach was for stuff like the T-Model Ford and stuff, where it was produced in bulk and bought simply...

Comprehensive Syllabus Notes w/ Case Studies for EVERY syllabus point!!!

Cash Balance = Opening Balance + Inflows - Outflows The end cash balance in January will be the starting cash balance in February. Assume the business starts with a cash balance of $0. Every time I've done that particular question, I've got $5000, and can't for the life of me figure out how...

Comprehensive Syllabus Notes w/ Case Studies for EVERY syllabus point!!!

Thanks for that, but I think I'll take the word of two HSC markers, one of which has taught Business for over 25 years, over your word. Cheers, and best of luck for tomorrow.
