    Tsfx lectures ?

Probably not worth going. You'd be better off putting in a solid couple of hours just studying the notes off of BoS (the good ones at least) than spending money on the lectures and travel.

Subjects actually helping in real life

Depends on what you mean by 'real life'. If it's defined by applicability for future studies, then that depends. If it's by just overall practicality without the consideration of future studies, then I'd say bits of everything: - English (skills, not content, learnt via analysing and...

    Social life in uni

If you go the USYD's Cumberland/Lidcombe campus, it's pretty much like high school - same size/vibe, how you have a smallish-sized cohort, and how you get to see people on a regular basis. Of course it doesn't look that appealing initially, but it grows on you and I'd consider it to be cosy...

    4 Unit math

I'd say to just take the subject on-board and try it out for yourself. If you can't handle it, you can always drop it. Better to live without the 'what if I chose 4U and actually understood it'

How to motivate myself to study consistently/stop being distracted?

Learning and actually understanding the content and how it applies to real-life/modern situations can be fun and interesting. Like with Chemistry, learning about the carbon dioxide equilibrium was pretty cool. Every time I saw a sibling open a can of soft drink (changing the system from closed...

Dropping to 10 units, safe move?

You hate it, aren't interested in it, don't like the class, and aren't doing well at it - as long as you're doing better in your other subjects... Droppity drop drop!

Which section to do first in an English Exam?

I personally did it in order. Did short answers, and if I couldn't answer something properly just bs as fast as you can and come back if you have time (to further bs). Depending on your confidence in the other two sections, if you memorised one of the sections then do that first to get it out of...

    Creative Plot Ideas?

Find a stimulus that seems 'vague' and write a creative based on it. Go through more stimuli and see if the story you wrote could be moulded to apply. It's better for a story to be metaphoric than literal, so it might be easier to mould than you think

What makes a more sophisticated essay? Simpleness or ...

If 2 were to sound a bit more fluent (simply combining the 2nd and 3rd sentences), it would be better than 1. So something as simple adding 'whereas' to show the 'division': 2. History and memory's traditional representation show a division between these two. Memory is thought to be subjective...

Anyone in year 11 from a normal public school.. lol

I went to a public school. Lots of competition and stress from at least half of our cohort. If you don't feel it now, no worries it's because people aren't actually trying yet (some people pop out of nowhere in year 12 like this girl who went from 2U to nearly topping 4U).

feeling sooo scared can someone help me plzzzz

Don't give up hope! It's still pretty early in the HSC year and luckily it was only a 15% task, not 25-40%. Focus on improving and you'll do fine! I was getting similar marks to you near the beginning of the year but with hard work and the fear of failure, I somehow managed to get a high B5 for...

Post-grad students, how many units did you do and would you have changed anything?

Re: Post-grad students, how many units did you do and would you have changed anything Regret dropping Physics near the beginning of Year 11 for Biology, and then dropping Biology near the beginning of Year 12. Would've dropped PDHPE instead (I was aiming for 10 units).

****STATE RANKING MATHS TUTOR !! 99.20 ATAR | Cabramatta/Fairfield Region

Jason is one of the most knowledgeable people I know and was the go-to person for any mathematics-related help in our cohort. He is extremely enthusiastic in helping others and aims for you to thoroughly understand content, no matter the difficulty, with no judgement (unlike some tutors who...

Last movie you watched? And what you thought of it?

You're Next - loved the action and gore in it. The movie was straightforward, which was different compared to past movies I've watched (which had endings up for interpretation and such).

    Bachelor of health science subjects?

It depends on the units you choose/complete in the first year. If you complete the same units as someone would if they were doing B App Sc (Speech Pathology) in first year, and you successfully transferred, you would just join in on 2nd year and start from there.

    10 units vs 12 units.

Assuming everything else (Eng, 3U, 4U, Chem) would count because of scaling and my enthusiasm in the subjects, I did 10 units because I believed I would do better in a certain 2 units (PDHPE) than another (Biology, also my teacher wasn't that great) so I dropped it. Yay for free periods (which I...
