i'm in year 12. I guess i didn't make it through to the next round with BDO. because they have the info night on Wednesday. and they should've told us that like 4 days before an event. they can't tell us to go to an event the night before or something... I would've at least wanted them to...

ellentat, when did they call you to invite you to their info night? i did my phone interview last week and i still haven't got back from them. i probably didn't go through to the next round. my phone interview wasn't even bad ...

find the area bounded by the curve y= sqrt (4-x^2), the x axis and the y-axis in the first quadrant. I found the x intercepts which are +2 and -2 but we only need -2 and 0 because we are finding it in the first quadrant what's the next steps? please show working out!! :)

btw, i got this: 0= -2x^2-5x+3 (-2x-3) and (x+1) therefore x= 1 and x= -2/3 why isn't this right?

so when i use the quadratic formula, i get x = -3 and x= 1/2 but when i use the quadratic factorising method, i get the wrong answers! can someone help me please? how do i get the right answer using the quadratic factorising methid ?
