    Can HSC markers 'google?'

No idea if this has been discussed before, but I'm really curious and would love to know. Once a marker has your paper in front of them and they come across something they're not sure is real or not, are they allowed to whip out some device and google it? Like say for example you do legal...

General Thoughts: Community & Family Studies

Re: Thoughts on CAFS HSC Exam 2014 For the MC question for Question 10, did you say guys say the style of parenting was Indulgent or Negligent? I was tossing up between these two.

"Share with the class so we can all benefit"

I'm willing to help people out, explain things, give examples, etc. However, I'm very reluctant when it comes to giving out my actual study notes I've done. If they're to close friends who I have a really good relationship with and trust, then no worries. I'm ranked 1st,2nd,3rd in a few of my...

How did everyones first week go???

It was great! Finally studying the subjects you like instead of those compulsory subjects back in high school you didn't like. Though strangely I haven't received any homework yet at all. All my friends seem to have though. lol

"Student challenges ruling on her HSC"

Not happy with 99.95 ATAR! Thought this would be an interesting read: http://www.news.com.au/national/sometimes-getting-9995-out-of-100-is-good-enough/story-fndo4eg9-1226416740429 So the mother of this student was clearly not happy that her kid received an ATAR of 99.95 and took it to court...

Last movie you watched? And what you thought of it?

A few best men. It's an Australian comedy starring Xavier Samuel. The reason it's the last movie I watched is because I rewatched it for about the third time. It's hilarious and definitely on my list of my my top favourite movies.

    Unfair report grade?

Thanks. I usually don't like questioning teachers about grades I received as I feel like I'm giving off the impression that I'm stuck up, but I'll do it this time just like you said, a polite enquiry. :) If you mean by that I completed all course outcomes to the best of my ability, then yes.

    Unfair report grade?

powlmao - That's fair, but I always turn up to class and contribute to class lessons. :) RivalryofTroll - Thanks, I will do that. :)

    Unfair report grade?

Yea, I understand that sometimes they can't give out too many A's so maybe those people that recevied them did better than me. The thing however is that Religious Education is one of those subjects in our school that give out a numerous amount of A's- anywhere from maybe 40-50 and we have a year...

    Unfair report grade?

Thanks. A friend of mine who is in Year 10 received an A in Religious education for her report even though she received a B in the first assessment task worth 30%, so I'm not sure if my teacher just dislikes me or not. Would like to know first though before I bring it up with my teacher if I...

    Unfair report grade?

I recently received my year 10 half yearly report card, and received a B in Religious Education. Seeing as that extra 'A' grade would have made me receive an academic award, I'm not entirely happy about this. I don't really know about weighting and how marks work 100%, but I'm hoping I could...

Struggling to pick one more subject.

Sy123- I'm not doing maths in year 11 & 12 as I'm already failing at. 5.2 level in year 10 so I don't think it would be a wise decision to continue it. Our school is making us choose 10 subjects altogether in order of preference incase we might not be able to get our first selections that we...

Struggling to pick one more subject.

Thanks. I've been thinking about maybe taking up Drama and then I could drop that when it comes to Year 12. However, there's still a part of me that thinks I could possibly do better in PDHPE than Drama. I'm not sure if I should do drama and then if I figure it's too difficult for me in drop in...

Struggling to pick one more subject.

Thanks, that does help. I really do like Drama, but I don't want to do it if it gets too difficult as for me Drama has always been a 'fun' subject that isn't too stressful like the others. PDHPE is also interesting and I'm good at it, despite the muscles and types of sports, but I'm wondering...

Struggling to pick one more subject.

This is the first thread I've made, so I apologize if it is the wrong forum. So I've pretty much got down pat 5 subjects for Year 11 next year (10 units) and I'm struggling to pick one more. :spzz: The subjects I have already chosen are ones I really enjoy and love, which is why I'm stuck on...
