No one can tell you what you are going to get. Take comfort in that. Don't worry about estimates, if your results don't pan out how you hoped, take a deep breath and look at your options. There are tonnes of success stories of people who took diploma years etc. When one door closes another one...

Personally I don't really mind since I have 12 units. I'd definitely focus on english since it counts no matter what + 60% of DT HSC mark is from the major project anyway (albeit thats not really going so well either). Sadly, it does take out some precious english revision time :/ but on the...
