How busy do you get when you're in uni?

Weekly schedule: 14 hours of lectures, 4 hours tutorials, 6 hours of labs, 4 problem sets/homework assignments, ~15-20 hours self-study outside of contact hours You guessed it: Engineering/Science

    UniLodge at ANU?

UniLodge isn't really that far off campus. The distance from the Business & Economics buildings to B&G/Bruce is about the same as from the Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Engineering buildings to UniLodge. In other words, you'll be on campus, and have lots of opportunities to socialise - at least you...

    PhB and R&D

It might be easy to group the PhB and R&D into the '99+ ATAR points club' now, but remember that they are in fact different degrees, even though they both have a heavy research focus. In the first year they can be very similar, but in second year the engineering degree starts to branch off into...

    ANU engineering

Sure, I can tell you about my experiences first semester. But first: Why do you want to study engineering? What have you heard about engineering at the ANU so far?

    ANU Roll Call 2013

Indeed. Canberra is such an awesome place to live. I've lived here all my life, but I've travelled a lot and visited many cities around the globe (especially Europe, as I'm Austrian by heritage), and believe me, there's nothing else quite like Canberra. But with an (equivalent) ATAR of 99.95...

    Anu 2013

Awesome, thanks for letting us know. There also will be a 'Pre-enrolment advice day' on the 1st of Feb. Details here: http://billboard.anu.edu.au/event_view.asp?id=97313 And the best part of course:

    Anu 2013

Indeed. I'm lucky that I don't have any clashes... yet... I think our workloads will end up being quite similar. I'm in the B Engineering (R&D) / B Science degree. So lots of extra time for research projects here too. A friend of mine is doing the same degree as you, though with a pure...

    Anu 2013

No worries! Enrollment is generally during O-Week (unless you're a local like me and get to do it the week before). The website seems to indicate you could potentially enroll in undergrad law online... But don't worry about that now - they'll send you a letter sometime before the end of this...

    Anu 2013

They'll tell you all the course structures and workloads during enrollments and O-Week. However, reading the course description of LAWS1203 it says that the first two weeks will encompass four hours of lectures. Therefore, it would seem that you either choose to be in Lecture Group 1 or 2...

    Anu 2013

Good question. You'd think that'd be the case, as then everything's planned. Lectures are fixed (or at least they are for me - Engineering, Maths, Physics). But maybe tutorials are flexible, I don't know? I do know that they organise you into 'tutorial groups', so maybe not. The ANU website...

    ANU's Engineering R&D Program

Hello! If you're going to be studying ANU Engineering R&D this year, I'll probably see your there (unless I end up deciding to take a gap year between now and enrolments...) I recently spoke to a former student of the normal engineering/science (chemistry) stream, and overall received some...
