Any thoughts on this? I have entertained the idea of legal academia (or doing more study, beyond the commonplace LL.M.), but I don't think it's something I'd do in Australia or before practising for at least 5 years (arbitrarily chosen; perhaps that should be 2 to 3 if I work in corporations?)...

Could anyone recommend a text for interpretation of statutes for freshers? I'm thinking of saving myself from spending - I'm guessing - a hundred dollars on something that I'd definitely need for later but just not now. The fundies/intro stuff seems plenty of reading and is only an...
