Must you be Gifted to Achieve Outstanding Results in the HSC?

Being gifted is not a requirement but it certainly helps. Generally speaking, hard work is the most important factor, but the way i like to view it is that your atar is somewhat like a product of some sort of intelligence quotient and the amount of work you put in. The more gifted the student...

Is Coaching for HSC Really Necessary?

I ended up 99 in 3u and 94 in 4u and i was never tutored either. It really depends on the persons strengths and how willing they are to work without a tutor (i did nothing for english or physics all year)

    Help! MATHS CONFUSION

This definitely. Doing 4u was the best choice i made (along with repeating 3u) Not to mention that as an accelerant math is clearly a strength for you so its extemely beneficial to have 40% of your atar come from the best scaling subjects in the hsc, both of which play to your strength. That +...

    Help! MATHS CONFUSION

Malcolm that is false. OP i did 2u and 3u in year 11 as well so i can confirm this is what happens. When you sit the 4u hsc it will be as though you did not sit the 2u hsc.
