    Yeah... he said the boss would get super annoyed at me. He also said it was in my contract that I had to give a week's notice. That doesn't seem right though, as they have cancelled my shifts literally with a few hours notice. Would be kind of unfair if they could do that to me but I can't to them.

    The Woolworths Thread

    Hi guys, parents recently said I have to leave Sydney for Christmas, but I have a shift on the 24th that I cant make. Only found out that I have to leave Sydney today so told them today (22nd) but they said it was too late for them to change the roster and I would have to work on that day. As a...

    MVT to prove inequalities

    I don't know how to use latex but I'll try to just type it out manually. Use the MVT to show that: (x-a)/a>ln(x/a)>(x-a)/x if x>a>0 (sorry all the inequalities are the wrong way around, for someone reason my text disappears if I write it normally)

    MVT to prove inequalities

    How do you use the MVT to prove inequalities where its x>a>0 instead of just x>0? Like when its x>0 you can just let b=x and a=0 in the MVT formula thingy but not sure what to do for this. Examples are Q 97b and 98a,c,d of the math 1151 calc booklet at unsw. Any help appreciated.

    Limit as x->2

    How do you prove that the limit of (x-4)/(x-2) is 4, as x approaches 2? Full working please if possible!

    HSC Physics Marathon 2016

    not sure if this has been asked, too lazy to read through this but this is something to consider: What is the difference between a geosynchronous and geostationary orbit? (not 100% sure if this is even in the syllabus)

    General Thoughts: Physics

    you don't lose marks for writing too much, but generally when ppl do they contradict themselves or talk about irrelevant points which makes you lose marks

    General Thoughts: Physics

    I got 2.6m for the height of the platform. What's the degree of error BOS usually allows? Then again at the same time I didn't force the LOBF through the centre as I read a few people here did, which might be the 0.1 difference. (you're not supposed to FYI, even thought theoretically there is...

    Assuming formulas

    When given the differential eqn for newton's cooling Q's can you assume T=To+Ae^-k When told a particle moves in SHM can you assume a=-n^2x and v^2=n^2(a^2-x^2) ? Can you use cylindrical shells / volume by slices? (if I happen to get stuck and can't figure out how to do in the 3u way)...

    Worried about some motors and generators stuff

    I know what Q you are referring to and in reality very small eddy currents form and it would have an effect on the speed, but im guessing its negligible. And the guys at BOS running the phy course being as shit as they are doesn't acknowledge the fact that small eddy currents form in the tube...
