Cigarettes and Tobacco are allowed to be purchased with returns cards, just the basics cards and essentials cards that we can't put them through with. I work in a store in a very low socio-economic area, so we have a lot of people who try to use basics cards to buy cigarettes, some even hide it...

Had to call in sick for my supervision shift tomorrow, I hate having the flu! Hopefully I don't have to call in sick on Sunday because I'd really like the Sunday rates this week!

Definitely not. You'd have to earn your spot up the ladder.

It seems my store is starting to slowly (very slowly) be refurbished, they have done some painting over the feral green colour scheme within the store, and have taken down the signs above the departments with the cartoon, clip art-like images. Some new lights installed, and two tradies arrived...

They need someone to pick up the company and do new and exciting things to compete with Coles! Our new stores look ok but they can't compete with Coles' awesome new store designs with the cafes at the bakery.

So say for instance you accidentally press cash on the tender swap instead of EFT, the you just press can again for the same amount??

Is that when you make a mistake doing the tender swap!? Because I've done that before and it DID NOT LET ME DO ANY THING but now that I know this, I'm far less reluctant to try it out...

Our express is connected to smokeshop so we can save from express, but when the customer has their groceries in the trolley, I.e on a main register, we do not save for them. Just for security measures. Normally we don't have unrecalled saved transactions that have actually been stolen, Nevada we...

I don't think they are cutting store operational roles, it's more the internal workers that get paid shit loads to do nothing.

I don't think you can be demoted any less than a service cashier haha. He's not a supervisor. And I can't demote him anyways. But I'll be telling the other supervisors to keep an eye on him and make sure he's constantly doing stuff while I'm not there.

Yes, he's extremely lazy, but he hasn't done anything that is against the rules, just demonstrating a horrible work ethic, which will get him a really shit reference.

God, I wish I had the power to sack. He would be so gone, and I'd be able to hire someone 10 times more competent who deserves the position 10 times more than him. I'll probably take him into the office next week and tell him that what I'm asking him to do is well within his job description, and...

Ugh, shitty day at work today. 2 people called in sick and one went home sick. I was already pissed off with him because he stands at his register doing NOTHING while there's a line up and while I (supervisor) am serving. So many times I said to him "******, there are customers waiting and your...

I received my 5 years service badge yesterday. They wrote out my name as "Aex", like, who actually misses the "L" in a four letter name??? Did that not feel uncomfortable under their pen stroke???

Oh that's nasty... Im a nervous pee-er, so if someone is in one of the cubicles I can't pee, my pipes just kinda shut off... So if someone's in the bathroom while I need to go, I will just walk in and wash my hands and loiter around until it's free... Weird I know.

Someone in our store last Friday night bashed in the finger scanner with their fist. No one knows who did it but it's in the back dock so no customers would have (some stores have theirs out on the floor... Weird.) I don't know how they are going to find who did it but the entire machine is...
