They are all competitive schools. I don't think unsw is linked through the exchange program with Princeton unless through some other thing but never heard of it. For wharton or nyu generally need wam 90+ (They take a few people so need to be at the very top <1% cohort). For berkely and ucla you...
Mine inferred wam ends with .00 as well, so purely based on that it could theoretically be 1,2,3 or 4 subjects. But as you said, assuming subjects done in first week get marked faster sounds like a reasonable assumption. Probably more speculation though. Although if any of them were multiple...
Is that total wam showing or the wam you inferred for the semester ? Don't see how 4 and under amount of subjects can average to something ending with .857
Good question. Well two subjects can't make a .25 or .75, if results of three subjects can average to something ending with.25 then it can be 3 or4 (4 definitely can) just haven't spent time on it to figure it out. So I imagine that's three or four
My understanding of decimal points. First get your inferred semester wam by using your old wam and new one and weighting it by units of credit. Once you have the inferred wam, you can maybe use it to see how many subjects were used in it's calculation. If inferred wam is a whole number (could be...
Stream declaration working for me.
Implied semester WAM deduced from total WAM: 89
Subjects:
Phys1160 - 93 (confirmed)
Fins2624 - Was top 5 in course prior to final, so expecting 92+
Acct2522 - Expecting 85-88
Econ1202 - Expecting 75
Seems to be a fair bit higher then what i was expecting...
Yes that's exactly right, you won't be locked out of majors, the fact that you are planning on a finance major gives you a lot of flexibility in that sense, if you were to complete economics, business economics majors later on it should be no problem. Since you can do two majors in b-comm...
It is a core subject if you planned to complete your degree in economics but since you are wanting to transfer to commerce (?), for the popular majors in commerce; finance, accounting etc. it is not needed for those specific majors so no need to do it if that was the plan. If you were planning...
1st year econ subjects don't have much maths, refer to this link for what to choose http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/programs/2016/3543.html
defintely choose these two courses
ACCT1501 Accounting & Financial Mgt 1A (6 UOC)
ECON1101 Microeconomics 1 (6 UOC)
maybe this one...
1st year econ subjects are all relatively easy from what ive experienced, 75 wam would be easy to achieve to transfer. Math is minimal in 1st year econ, except econ1202 maybe avoid that but still relative basic maths. you can choose courses within commerce anyway nothing making you choose purely...
That's strange. Came into finals with 42/50 (assuming 10/10cp), so would have had to get 48/50 in finals to get 90/100. So i thought there was significant scaling upwards possibly. Maybe get your marks checked in that case
Happy :)
