    Complex Numbers Argand Q

Hello, For this question, I know how to correctly sketch the locus but I don't know how to find its point of intersection with the Imaginary axis (which this question needs you to label). I am somewhat aware that you need to first find the centre and radius of the circle that the locus is a...

    Kb question

Oh, does the sodium ion dissociate from the acetate ion immediately in water and doesn't change the base? I just thought that sodium acetate, as a base, will engage in ionisation/acid-base reactions differently to just the acetate ion? Or is it because the sodium ion doesn't participate in H+...

    Kb question

Hi, why is the Kb of sodium acetate the same as the Kb of the acetate ion itself? I know that sodium acetate is basic because it has the conjugate base of a weak acid (acetic acid) and sodium is neutral, but I also thought that sodium acetate would be a different base compared to just the...

Complex De Moivre's & Trig Question

Thank you! Is it that when I solve sin8θ = 0, I should always put 8θ = ±π, ±2π, ±3π, etc., instead of π, 2π, 3π, 4π, etc.? Because I seem to only be able to get the correct answers if I put the former not the latter.

Another De Moivre's & Trig Question

Hi, for part b of this question (Cambridge Exercise 3F Q12), I solved up to the part where θ = π/2, 3π/2, etc, following the attached solution below. I understand that you need to omit the root of cosθ=0 from the roots of cos5θ to get the required roots, but cosθ=0 would happen for all π/2...

Complex De Moivre's & Trig Question

Hi, I attempted part b of this question (Cambridge X2 Exercise 3B Q14) and thought I got the answers but they were incorrect. I think I got it wrong when I equated 8θ = 0, π, 2π, etc. but I'm not sure. Would someone be able to tell me how I went wrong? I have attached my solutions and the actual...
