2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

Yes maybe but with ATAR being the end goal, being at a high ranked school still helped me out a lot.

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

No I was only ranked 4th internally and got 99 as my internal mark But my working was good so that bumped me up to 6.

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

I did 3-4 hours a day for first 3 weeks Took a week off over Christmas Then did 4-5 hours until school restarted because I had some exams at start of 2024

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

I tried to do physical workbook as much as possible. But when time was an issue (trials and HSC) I was working online.

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

There are a few cases where this can happen: 1. 100 in HSC does not necessarily mean 100 for internal and 100 for external, it can be 99 internal and 100 external or vice versa, and round to 100. In this case a student achieved a perfect score of 100 but a student with 100/100 in both sections...

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

    1. I would take it pretty easy (little to no work in holidays) UNLESS you are an accelerant and will take a year 12 course in 2025, in which case you should aim to have learned all content for term 1 in that subject. 2. I took notes on all content from textbook and for stuff that I found more...

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

I didnt get insta until after HSC but I think when I felt super distracted I would just take a break for 30 mins and then when I came back I felt less distracted

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

Very little - I enjoy tennis more than I enjoy gaming so I dropped fifa start of year 11 and put that time into tennis

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

I played a lot of tennis all the way through high school it was my release I guess
  10. Z

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

I tried to sleep 7 hours a night I never listened to music when I was studying I found it way too distracting I always studied at home

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

I didn't do that much more in year 12 than in year 11 3-4 hours in both years after school every day During exam season sometimes I'd be working super late if I felt I was behind - 6+ hours (but rarely) When not in exam season I would still aim for 3-4 hours but if I got 2 hours of work done it...

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

Shorts I struggled for a while but best advice is that you're showing the marker you understand the text. I got 20/20 shorts in HSC with this approach - focusing less on the techniques and more on showing I understand what's actually happening in the text, especially for poetry

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

As soon as I felt I knew the content well enough I would start with my school's past papers Then I would try and find hard questions on the topics that were being tested from other past papers that I hadn't seen before.

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

Maybe this isn't great advice but for essays I always memorised a pre prepared response You can make a pre prepared response flexible by preparing more than you need. Also try and expand vocabulary

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

Yes I would go through textbook and make notes for sciences For maths I just did questions English I never worked ahead

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

Study tips for chem phys would be to work together - helped me so much for phys to iron out misconceptions Science ready is a god send I think more niche questions you just need to think about the question before you write your response and try and digest all the information Also assuming that...

2024 99.95 ATAR: Ask Me Anything

I always started with textbook exercises. I would only do past papers in preparation for exams. I prevented silly mistakes basically with repetition but I think doing your practice exams under timed conditions really helps - especially doing practice exams in LESS time than normal (i.e 2 hours...
