What about competing at a State Final of a DET competition?

Has anyone ever sat an HSC exam at a different time to the timetabled exam for reason other than timetable clash? For example, if you are unavailable in the morning when the exam is on, have you sat the exam that afternoon? How does it work? - I need to know urgently!
