I have a computer copy of that textbook, and yeah I agree, its pretty awesome. I was given KISS notes all year, and while they are fairly good, I find that they tend to skip some dot points.

For biology, the ones that are by 'Ahmad Shah Idil' are fairly good. There are a set of notes for each of the 3 cores i think...

and then you also had to evaluate each ones suitability to an a la carte menu... if you didnt do that you would have lost marks.

For question 14 in the mutiple choice i put B because A cant be right because 'gender' or 'sexual preference' hasnt got to do with culture, C cant be right because 'disabilities' hasnt got to do with culture and D cant be right because 'age' doesnt have to do with culture... my god...

Probably doesn't matter too much, unless the verb is 'discuss' or 'evaluate' or 'analyse' because i don't know how you could answer those types of questions using dot points and get full marks.

yeah there is one, its about the effects of pH and temperature on enzymes. If you do biology, its basically the same practical that you do in the 'maintaining a balance' topic.

Lots of people write the questions for the paper. Not just one person. My teacher was telling me that teachers or scientists make up questions then submit them, and then they get evaluated to see if they are suitable. Then if they choose to include the question that you made up then you get paid...

I find doing both chemistry and biology helps because there is overlaps between them (especially in the options im doing). If you have an interest in science and think you could cope doing all 3 sciences then do it.

I don't agree with that. I found the hsc course to be sooooo much more interesting as it relates to more everyday things compared to the prelim course. (this may of been because I had a much better teacher in yr 12 than yr 11) Just have a look at the information on the syllabus on hsc online...

yeah i dont think they could really get you to write too much on him because there isn't actually a syllabus dot point on him. I agree with one of the above posts that there will be a question on equine influenza. My bio teacher has been saying all year that there will probably be a question...
