    I guess if you enjoy them that is fine. To my way of thinking those are dead end jobs. Most of the people in my extended family are in medicine and law . Of those, half are in academia while the other half are in the commercial world. I guess that everyone has different aspirations.

    Most people who defer do not end up going to uni. So be careful and think hard about whether or not you want to risk that and your reasons for defering. Talk to one of the academic advisors at the uni you have been accepted at.
