Chance of 70%+ avg in first year

By the way, what number did you call? I'm curious to know what the cut-off score was for undergraduate law, and I don't think they'd tell me by email.

Chance of 70%+ avg in first year

If you put the effort in, it should be pretty easy. The first year subjects, like Intro to Legal Reasoning and Research & Writing, are not that difficult. As Frigid rudely pointed out, there are some other factors that might stop you from doing this, like whether you're working too many hours...

If they don't expect the cut-off for Year 12s to increase, hopefully that means they don't expect any increase in the WAM cut-off for transfers. I have heard of people getting in with 72s.

Well, I've put in preferences for both Arts/Law and straight Law, so that gives me two courses that I might get offers in. I've then put down full-fee law for both of those degrees, and I will pay if I have to and then transfer. My WAM is 76.17 so I'm hopeful that I can get something. And, he...

Do you remember how much more it was? And did they specify that there were more Year 12 applicants or just more VTAC applications in general? Argh scary. Melbourne gets most of its students direct from Year 12 and has less transfers, so the number of people who could be applying for Monash...

I'm a little worried by the Melbourne Model, but how many extra students could possibly be applying to Monash because of it? And how much better could their grades be (since transfer to Melbourne is more difficult)?

^^ Why do you care how much the store made in sales? If someone gets overpaid on their last week of work, how does woolworths get their money back?

    Tax questions

Maybe you're only being taxed some weeks from the 1st job because you're under the threshold for it (which is about 100 a week). If you're earning different amounts at the 2nd job, it's normal to be taxed different amounts. If you want to be taxed less, fill out a PAYG form from the employer...

    "what are you studying?"

It's so frustrating when people you meet will ask you that, and when you say Law, you can tell that they think it means you're some kind of genius/super nerd. There are shit law students as well. I'm not imagining this, am I? Do you feel the same when people ask you?

Are you serious? That's what this whole thread is about and so far the only estimate we have is 75 to be competitive. Have you applied this year?

    Rules for Customers

If you take the phrase to mean that you do whatever the customer says, that's not right. Like when a customer gives you a $20 and complains when you give change that he gave you a $50. It doesn't make business sense to try to satisfy customers who cost more than they're worth. Whenever a...

I'm not concerned about where I stand. I've already contacted the university I'm doing Law/Science, hopefully transferring to Law/Arts.
