I'll Start, Critical Analysis - Applied Research Project!

Yea im doing performance...still brainstorming about what to do...my teach said if i get stuck wit perf i should swap to applied research

Hey a quick question if anyone from past years could help out:

I'm doing Dumb Waiter as a text for Absurd Theatre. For my IP I am doign Theatre Criticism. Recently I saw Dumb Waiter, so am I able to write a review about it for my IP even though I'm studying it in absurd theatre?

I hope that makes sense! I'm really stuck on whether I'm allowed to do it, so any help is much appreciated!

i just asked my mother (who teaches drama ) and she said no, you cannot...


also to all the people doing performance, i'd be REALLY careful about that. unless you're an absolutely amazing performer, it'll be safer to do something else, it doesn't necessarily have to be a critical study, maybe design or something

i've read through 3 plays and i got bout 6 ta go....

Who else is doing an applied Research Project? I only know of two in the state lol... me and a girl in my class...

I know someone doing lighting which is the most unpopular choice every year. Last year 6 ppl in the state did it. But he'll do a great job on it cause he's had a tonne of experience out of school with our local professional theatre company.

I'm doing performance. Adaptation of two scripts, with my little bits here and there so it flows.

What I'm trying to achieve is a very Brechtian piece. My teacher has been helping me out, but I'm going through the withdrawal stage I always go through...hating it. Lol.

what type of performance are you planning to do?
