sorry for not answering.. I can't really tell what the actual answer is but the technique is repitition I believe.. Sorry I'm not allowed to go on the computer untill my exams are over so I'm on my iPhone :D

But repitition could be used to emphasise a point / prove a point, to show that the person wants you to know about that thing...

Meh anyone else wanna have a go at explaining?

Well, I'd talk about repitition.

You could talk about the.. shape and font size of the sentence, but I'm not sure what that technique would be called.. Maybe visual features of the text? Repition is safer.

Well, I'm listening to music at the moment, so my word structure of this passage may not be fantastic, but I'll give it a go.

The line "This is not you this is not you..." uses repition to emphasise the composers thoughts about her last four years at school. She continues the repition of the previous four sentences, (lines 19-22), implying that throughout this time she was feeling the same way; like she was living a meaningless life without experiencing happiness or satisfaction. Repition enforces this bleak outlook, suggesting that the thoughts consumed her entire existance, and allows the audience to feel a personal connection and empathy towards the composer.

.. Sound ok? :apig:
