I'm the only one who's doing none of them lmao sorryIM THE ONLY ONE DOING SLESSOR RN
But isn’t it like a big fat book. Like who’s bothered to read all that. If I get it I’m gonna kmsI'm ngl I really wanted to do All The Light We Cannot See bc I absolutely adore that book, altho maybe it's a blessing 'cause HSC could've ruined it for me haha
LMAO i cracked up from this this is too funnyWait guys since I don’t know what most of these books about I’m gonna guess what their about
All the light we cannot see: idk maybe light is significant and it’s about seeking truth or smth idk
Vertigo: someone gets dizzy and dies
1984: some political stuff set in 1984
Past the shallows: some depressing stuff
The merchant of Venice: some Shakespeare stuff set in Austria or smth
Slessor: reminds me of a slug
Billy Elliot: isn’t it based on a musical of a ballet dancer or smth
The crucible: someone gets crucified
The boy behind the curtain: a little boy who is scared of the dark or monsters at night
Rosemary: some flowers set in the 1940s
Rainbow’s end: reminds me of the rainbow serpent
Go back to where you came from: probably about racism
Waste land: some geo sustainability stuff
ITS SO SAD I CRIED READING IT. Can i give spoilersPeople doing past the shallows, is it really sad cause my Eng teacher said that it made her so upset that she didn’t even want to teach it
If you want to feel a bit of angst, id recommend Past the Shallows. It's a decent book when you ignore how ridiculously long it takes you to actually get into it.would anyone actually recommend reading these books after hsc? i feel like when you read it without the hsc trauma its much more readable
that's so real, analysing it on your own is so fun, you can create your interpretations and all, hsc writing really does take the fun out of it, i absolutely dread english but i have moments where im like 'huh, this is kind of interesting'. too bad those moments only last a few minuteswould anyone actually recommend reading these books after hsc? i feel like when you read it without the hsc trauma its much more readable

Wait so technically if u hate ur texts so much u could just ditch the text u did in school and pick ur own oneLow-key thinking of being different and special by going rouge in the actual HSC by picking Vertigo instead of The Crucible. YOLO!
Like, obviously not for your assessments/trial exam, but let it be known that your teachers will not be marking your HSC exam paper so... if you really hate your text or just really vibe another text, what's stopping you? Yourself. Life is for living.... not simply.... existing.Wait so technically if u hate ur texts so much u could just ditch the text u did in school and pick ur own one
