Okay, so long story short, at no fault of my own, my car was written off last night.

Just great.

I've been offered a 92' Celica for 2k by the mechanic I took it to (great guy, family mechanic...).

The body is meticulously straight (he's also a panel-beater), the engine's been fully rebuilt and the interior is in brand-new condition.

It's unregistered, but I can get the RWC off him.

Should I take it? Bear in mind it's going to cost me another $700 or more to get it on the road.

Done the big six Falcon before (in the country) - Not the best car for the city though. Looking for something that isn't too thirsty.

Though Corolla? Example? I can't find any decent ones.

I want to get a car soon - like, in the next fortnight or so. Screw riding my bike to work every day.
