I remember something along these lines:
If you get a UAI of over 99, and you put Macquarie as first choice, then you get a scholarship.

Can someone confirm/correct/deny this?

Thanks

From memory, it's if you get 99.5+ you get $2500 per year (so long as you keep a decent GPA).

If you get 98.5-99.45, you may get a one-off $2500. Obviously your chances are better if you're closer to 99.45 :p

well, keep in mind that this is only the average UAI for the scholarship, the actual cut offs varies with the course you are doing....
otherwise it will turn out that only actuarial students (or maybe some law pplz) grabing all the scholarships and leave nothing for the rest...;)

Yep, if you're between 98.5 and 99.45 and want the scholarship, chose and Arts or Sci degree.. better odds =p

You had to get at the higher end of the 98.5 - 99.45 region. I got 99.45 and got a first year 2500$ scholarship, yet I know people who got 99.3 and didn't.

That's probably cos you're in the Commerce section ie. Actuarials.. which means heaps of people get close to 99.45

Just make sure you put Mq as your first preference if you got a high UAI and want some $$$

Late rounders don't any $$$ I dont' think no matter what UAI its all gotta be in main round.
