The people who set the exams are experts in their respective fields (or at least qualified to teach the Stage 6 syllabus) - somehow I doubt they would experience much difficulty in answering the papers.

Yes, but then again they allready know all this stuff back to back... that's why they're making the exams.... but I wish we could dumb-ify them or something then make them sit the test... dumb-ify is a dumb word.... damn!

in the words of some of my english teachers

"Where do these people live?! To use words which AREN'T used in the classroom for an exam.... simply inexcusable."

(that was with reference to the EXTRACTS word in the English Advanced Modules exam) (even though we didn't really have that big a problem with it)

I imagine that the people that set the paper know what they're talking about, or at least talk it over with the teachers/people who created the module/course.

Most of my teachers are all very good and would all have no problems in doing any HSC paper, although some - particularly english teachers - have little respect for some of the related texts chosen in various HSC Trial papers :D

Angelduck, what selective school do you go to? If the teacher is a dud, then they should be replaced... we got several teacher here at HGHS replaced/banned from teaching senior grades :D

The examiners would probably do well on the tests if they sat them. They are the ones who write them after all.

I reckon they get some evil pleasure out of torturing us and making us answer questions that have been worded badly and that are extremly un-expected!

How bout we set them an exam about
"Why you should be scared if you ever meet a HSC student"
Question 1
If a HSC student saw you at the shops, what would they do?
a) Give you a hug and thank you for the wonderful exam you wrote.
b) Give you a black eye and say how you bloody wrecked their life.
c) Harrass you about why you think putting a student under stress causes them to perform better.
d) Call up the rest of their HSC doing friends tell them that they caught an examiner and that they should show you just how much they "enjoyed" the exam you wrote.....

How bout b, c and d?

lol

God yeah! So they can realise just how much they're asking from us in such a limited time period (especailly in english- i thought my hand was soing to fall off in the second paper) and so they can sit there and go 'shit. How in the HELL am i supposed to answer that question?' just like the rest of us

Well our head maths teacher definently would, having written text books and all -_-
(he even went through a HSC test and worked out how to get 100% by getting them all wrong...what a nerd)

My 4u said that he managed to get the 4u paper out....after 5 hours....
