This is an exciting, new, international motor racing championship set to start in September and looks like one of the best ideas in modern motorsport. First of all, all the cars will be the same - same v8, 90 degree engine (520bhp) and same Lola produced chassis. The difference about this championship is that instead of offering competition between manufacturers and companies, it is a competition between countries, appealing to, obviously, a global audience. Australia is confirmed in the championship along with another 23 countries so far which include countries such as Greece, Pakistan and Lebanon (hahaha Pakistan).

Although it looks good, it's got nothing on F1.

*Yawn* how boring ... exact same cars = boringness! Teams can't use their money and their technology ... plus there aren't going to be that many drivers with "natural" talent considering they are all in f1, v8 supercars or champ cars.

F1 > A1 anyday.

Btw, is this category any way shape or form related to the A1 ring in Austria???

No it's not related at all to the A1 ring at all, but you're probably wrong in suggesting that all the naturally talented racers are in f1, v8's or champ cars. There is so much talent in the lower European formulas and various touring car championships (DTM) that don't make it into F1 for example and this will be a good way to prove themselves. It will definitely be more interesting than boring, but as you said, Formula One will always be a class above.
