Does anyone know when MQ pass on the text list for next semester? This is driving me insane! I need to save money, and they wont tell me how much I need...

Perhaps those from second year onwards can share their knowledge on the prices and texts used last year (although it may change)?

For law first years, you don't need any texts for next semester (jurisprudence), only the reader made up by the lecturers' (approx $20 for each edition-there's two)... and psych you need to get Gleitman (aprox. $120 for the pack), and... stat you need the 'stat pack' which is about $50 I think.

...any other takers... please?

For AHST100 there is a dictionary of AH for, i think, about 50$, however the shop gives about 8 'recomended' which you can just borrow from the library.

AHST101 there is a 'classical mythology' thick thick thick book (1000+) which off the top of my head i think is about 70$

PSY104/PSY105 and STAT170 as MJ said.

PHIL131 Is a reader for about 18$

PHIL134 is a logic book about 60$

PHIL137 there are no text book, but there is a one recommended book which i really think should be compulsory. its about 20-30$ and it is a must-have.


Thats the the stuff i have done. It pleases me to know that jurisprudence only has a reader, as i was a little worried about law.

yeah, i am like that. but especially with psych (if your majoring in it) then it is probably a good idea to keep the books anywayz for future reference.

Does anyone know the approx. prices (or at least names) of 2nd year law books? I know this is completely narcassistic of me to turn my thread around to help myself, but I thought it was worth a shot.

Ok. You'll have 2 books and 1 reader for contracts. Maybe $160-$200 in total for those.

1 book and 1 reader (to start off with) for Crim. $80 or $90 maybe.

If 'Principles of Contracts' by Heffey. Paterson and Robertson (2002) is on the list, you can buy my copy. Nearly new. Bought it at $84.70...hmm haven't thought of a price for it just yet.
