"AdHoc" Ethernet (1 Viewer)

Prior to service pack 2 installation:

I can connect two computers together with an ethernet cable and it works.
I like it coz there was no need of a network hub


Service pack 2 installed:

Now if I do the same thing, i wont work.
It says something about unable to retreive network address.


I dont want to buy a network hub just to connect two computers.

There should be no problem doing that in SP2.

If it is trying to retrieve a network address DHCP might be turned on somehow - check your network settings to ensure that all your TCP/IP settings have been manually configured.

Service Pack 2 is too automated its scary
