dunno if this is the right place to post, but if not me bad.
im doing an assessment speech for english and i dunno which texts to use and how i should present it. Like, "how should i open/close the speech".
here is what my assessment sheet says:
Task:
imagine that you have been invited to speak at the launch of a collection of texts entitled 'The Journey'. the collection has been specifically selected for use by Higher School Certificate Students. The audience on the night will include students, educators, bureaucrats, coropate sponsers and the media.
in your speech explain and assess the ways in which ideas about 'The Journey' are represented in a variety of texts included in this collection.
In your discussion you must to refer to:
(A) Your Area of Study prescibed text.
(B) At least one text from the Board Of Studies "journeys" booklet.
(C) At least one piece of additional Material from you own Area of Study folder.
for my text im doing "My Place". im not yet sure which text from the BOS booklet to use and im yet to collect my own Area of study folder.
can some1 give me some advice on what specific way to present the speech and which texts i should use tat relates to "My Place".
