Hello BOS,

I am puzzled on how marks are divided among a class. So say if 'A' was rank 12 and 'B' was ranked 27, in say English Advance. Say if during HSC 'A' bummed out and got a mark of say 27/45 but 'B' got 44/45. Essentially would that mean 'A' would get 44/45 for their HSC mark and 'B' would get 27/45 for their HSC mark?

No, they will both get their respective marks as their hsc external mark. A will get 27 and B will get 44. But if 44 is the best in the year A will get it and B will get whatever the second highest mark was as their assessment mark. These 2 scores are then averaged to attain the final hsc mark, before moderation.
