is there anyway i can make the song go for the whole presentation, rather than just the one slide?
if anyonw knows please use idiot proof steps.. lol thanx

Depending on your version of Powerpoint, there is an option to left to sound playing for x number of slides. Otherwise just have a media player program like Winamp or Media Player playing the song in the background.

Insert the sound file, then select 'custom animation' (from the 'slideshow' option on the toolbar or by right clicking on the sound icon on the actual slide), and then on the side menu click the drop down menu arrow beside the sound file in question and then select 'effect options'.
