I was wondering what would an approximate UAI if these are my trial results and overall ranks (i go to a private school on the north shore in sydney):

2 u maths - 94% 7/38.
3 u maths - 78% 9/17
Physics - 81% 4/8
Modern History - 80% 8/41
Extension History - 73% 3/16
English Advanced - 79% 30/71
English Ext 1 - 90% 9/27
English Ext 2 - 85% 13/13

My school usually does pretty well overall. I'm not sure of my overall rank in the year but the last two years has been in the top 10 but i think this year in the top 15 or 20 and there is 84 people in my year.

Usually around 50% of the yr gets over 90 in their UAI and app 25% over 95% and around 10% over 98%.

Thank you!

judging by your school's performance, u can expect low to mid 90's, but obviously depends on your and everyone elses' performance in the exam

Ok. But if I do well in the actual HSC, what's the chances of me getting over 97% on my UAI?

I just found out last yr my school was around the top 20

I would also say you're headed for low to mid 90s - probably closer to the latter.

Particularly good performances in the HSC examinations themselves should be enough to push you up to 95 or 96... I'm uncertain as to whether you'd reach 97 (perhaps if you did outstandingly well).

From answer to your pm, i'd definitely say your chances of getting 97 is good. Your marks currently are good enough to be worth the low to mid 90's as Lazarus and MinAi said.

Which means performing well in the HSC will guarantee you a 97. Currently with those marks you may not reach it, but you can only ever improve right? :) and those last exams are the most important.
