Has anyone read 'Skull Beneath The Skin'?

Do u have any ideas for a speech that has to be in response to the following proposition..
"Crime fiction, as a genre, explores the notion of all the flaws in humanity. Beginning with the premise that we're all flawed, the genre appeal is obvious."

hmm well ive read Skull... twasn't as bad as everybody makes out...

my initial reaction to your question would be just the basic audience relationship with the characters, with the idea of 'everybody is flawed' acting as the link - coz PD James makes sure everyone in Skull has some kind of flaw (such as a male's weakness, Clarissa's pride/vanity... etc)

something along those lines... i guess.

Thanx Snake, I think I can work something with that. And no, SBTS wasn't all that bad...perhaps a bit dry at first but then it got interesting as the suspects and the case started unravelling. :D

Heheh, i chose PD James for a speech i had to do and i had to read some of her other books. Trust me compared to a few of those novels, Skull beneath the Skin feels like an intense all action roller coaster thriller.
