Does anyone know if the following metals and solutions are suppose to displace?

Zn + Mg SO4
Cu + MgSO4
Al + MgSO4

Al + CuSO4

Cu + Al2 (SO4)3

Cu + ZnSO4

A person in my class destroyed my group's experiment and my teacher didn't give us anymore metals to test! She has an attitude problem. PLEASE HELP!

Just have a look in your textbook for the solubility rules.

edit: sorry, for some reason i read it to say precipitate.

if the cation is more reactive, then it should displace a less reactive one.... i think

have a look at the back of your periodic table. the 'standard potentials' bit

the higher up the cation, the more reactive it is

Check the potentials list for quantitative data and confirmation. But off the top of my head...

Zn + Mg SO4 no
Cu + MgSO4 no
Al + MgSO4 no

Al + CuSO4 maybe

Cu + Al2 (SO4)3 maybe

Cu + ZnSO4 no
