Say i wanted to do a bachelor of economic and i don't mind which uni i go to. either usyd,uts or unsw

in the place where i put the preference do i need to list all uni's ?

e.g.

choice 1 = B economics at UNSW
choice2 = B economics at UTS

Yep. Different courses have different codes for the 'same' course.

put them in order of preference though.

that means since we only have 9 choices and you want 3 uni's then you can only really pick 3 courses ? :/

hey Minai... is there much difference between B Economics at UWS and B Economics at UNSW apart from the reputation...? There is a HUGE 30+ Uai cut-off mark difference...

or should i start another thread and ask this?

Something like that.. the choice for most people is only hard for pref 1/2/3.
choose the uni you want first, then the course, for most cases, because it's easier to transfer within courses than within unis.

Economics is one of the bludgiest subjects (compared to science). Most of my friends have like 13-15 hours a week compared to the 26 of Science people, co sthey have 3 hours pracs and stuff.

Yeah, but the 26 hours of science generally makes up for the extra reading that economics/other social sciences have each week.

Yeah I do about 13 hours a week of contact
but the assessments, readings, tutorial work is pretty hectic at times..

and regards to the UWS vs UNSW question...I guess the degree itself wont differ that much, but I guess the difference lies in the academic quality of the degree...UNSW doesnt have the rep as being the best Faculty of Commerce is south east asia for nothing...its because of the quality of the graduates and the quality of their teaching. If there was no real difference, why do ppl want to goto UNSW and not UWS? Mostly prestige as well I guess..

I'm prolly gonna transfer out of Economics and into either Commerce or Commerce/Law and do Accounting, because I've found I enjoy the accounting/business subjects much more than economics subjects...and economics subjects nxt year get way too mechanical
