Hi guys.

I'd like to enquire about applying for credit for previous studies for the Bachelor of Science. My intended major is mathematics (http://sydney.edu.au/business/currentstudents/undergraduate/curriculum_information/majors/mathematics).

From another thread (http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=300357), I realized that after you still need to retake CORE units of study for which you have applied for credit.

According to http://sydney.edu.au/handbooks/archive/2012/science/undergraduate/units_of_study/table.shtml, the mathematics major, however, has no "CORE units of study". So does that mean all mathematics units of study are "non-core units of study" and therefore there are no restrictions on credit transfer for these units of study (e.g. asking you to retake units of study for which you are applying for credit transfer, or asking you to take additional units of study to make up for the credit transfer)?

Has anyone applied for credit transfer before? Thanks.

It depends; the coursework for one university is not the same as another and hence why you may have to 'repeat' or pick up additional units. There are restrictions to how many units you can get credited for. The mathematics major has essential CP requirements in order to undertake intermediate studies and these individual units have their own prerequisites.
