It's probably the cheapest place you'll ever get to travel (assuming you have to pay for travel/transportaccommdation/food)

if you want to make it cheaper. make some friends right here at BOS!!!




does anyone want to let me stay at their place if I go back to Tokyo or Hong Kong?
I plan to go back when there are sales on.

cos houses are a lot smaller than aus

I went to Vietnam and I loved it... I really want to go to Cambodia, Thailand, Japan, China, HK and India.... just gotta save up!

u can live of $20 only if yuo dont do any events. but if yuo go there u would want to explore the country i am guessing its more then $20.

I went to Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan and it was great, apart from the heat in Singapore. The food is really good, local cuisine, unlike the one we have overhere. The cultures of 3 places are very interesting too. Some of the stuff are pretty cheap, but Japan is a very expansive country, everything are expensive.

yeah, i just went to Japan, HK, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore.
I loved it all

The Japanese culture is so damn friendly. The stuff there is actually not that expensive. If you lived in the Japan, the cost of living is higher than Sydney, but if you're using the Aussie Dollar to compare, prices are more or less the same as Sydney.
HK, well, i love eating so i love the food wherever i go. The markets are all pretty cheap there.

Thailand, it's just a fun place to be. You go to markets and bargain for fun. The exchange rate is awesome there. DON"T FORGET TO GO MASSAGE!!! (massage, not "massage")
Malaysia, I've been there many times, so i can't say much about it.
Singapore, as someone up there said, apart from the weather, it's a great place to be.



Although i love asia, I still do plan to travel the rest of the world when i have the $$$

but if you're looking for a cheap overseas hol, go to asia!
if you're asian or non-asian!


yeah, i heard cambodia/vietnam, u can live like a king for A$20 a day.

I've been to Japan and HK, Japan is such an awesome place, I'd recommend anyone go there, the people are imo some of the nicest in the world. Their culture and history is so rich and there's so much to do there which is why it makes a great place to visit. I only went to HK for a couple of days (stopover) but there's heaps good shopping there. The humid weather really gets to me though

Nah its awesome, I just came back from Japan and HK 2 weeks ago. Japan loved it, liked to sepdn more time to get to know the culture a bit better. HK liked it. We stayed in this small shitty flat the first night, my sister and myself cracked the shits. So we ended up staying in the Harbour Plaza, over looking the harbour. Not cheap. The day we checked in the Brazalian soccer team was checking out.

I've been to Vietnam a couple of times, good fun. If you have some money, you feel like you're rich over there.

I went to Japan and Vietnam in Dec/Jan. Japan was awesome, very different. Most polite people ever, most effective train system ever, and its bloody clean. Vietnam like Drew said I felt like a king. You can get a decent feed for <$1 and a full 4-5 dish meal for a little under $5, anythig more and your looking at the wrong places! . We went on a 3 island cruise on a dodgy boat for $8 plus lunch. That included snorkling and stuff. Parasailing was also i think only $10.

Have u been to these asian countries, cause not all of them are that cheap, i know Thailand and Indonesia are, but countries like Hong Kong and Japan are not
