Hey guys,
We have an assessment due in next term about Journeys on our related texts. One question asks "if applicable any assumptions or commonly held views about the journey that are supported or challenged in and by the text."
Does anyone have any idea about what are some assumptions/commonly held views about the journey?
Any help would be REALLY great

Thanks guys

Ahaha yeah I'm stuck on that one too! I saw the topic and was like hey, we need to know that too. It says "if applicable" for that point so I'm just going to think its not applicable. I'm so stuck for an oral text arghh!

heyy
i think your teacher means by assumptions/commonly held views about the journey, i tihnk she means underlying assumptions that can be applied to all journeys, that are either confirmed or challenged... i dont know if your teacher has said anything about that, but underlying assumptions are things like:

journeys involve decisions and choices

journeys involve reflection and emotion
" often take time
journeys have the power to alter the perspective of the individuals perceptions
journeys can be challenging
journeys can ahve a pos or neg outcome
can be isolating or confronting
ccan be life changing
across time or context

all that sorta stuff..

hope that helped and wasnt confusing. cant say im good at explaining things
