I was wondering whether we are required to know these laws, as
I don't think they are mentioned in the new phy syllabus...

But our physics teacher had us copy down his notes from
the overhead, and he had these laws in there....

Now is this because his just an idiot that can't be bothered
updating his notes? OR... Are we required to know it as a backdrop
to our knowledge of Astrophysics and talk about it in brief???

Any thoughts?

no, you dont need to know that. it was taken out of the syllabus when it was ammended.
the teacher is a moron.:)

we dont need to make any reference to wein's and the s-b laws.
