There's a way, follow the instructions below:

Goto run, type cmd, type shutdown -t nnn. Nnn represents seconds. All you have to do is convert the hours to seconds. For example, if you want to turn off your computer in 2 hours, then you go to Cmd and type shutdown -t 7200 because 2 hours times 3600 seconds (the number of seconds in one hour) equals 7200 seconds.

This ONLY works on Windows XP

1. Right-click on the desktop, go New -> Shortcut

2. In the dialog box type this:

shutdown -s -t # -c "*"
# is the amount of seconds the computer will wait before shutting down
* is the message that will be displayed when this is opened (MUST have quotation marks)

Click Next then click Finish

3. Name it to something like "Automatic shutdown", so each time you want the computer to shutdown after the countdown is up, click it.

To change the time and message, right-click it and change its properties.

USES:

Automatic Shutdown
Combating procrastination
Pranks

PM me and I'll tell you how to abort it.
